Two ecosystems, from data to deliverable
PointCab combines Origins for survey processing, Nebula for browser review and sharing, and plugins for design applications. Its September 2026 changelog presents Origins 4.3 with a new 3D environment, floor-based layout creation and sketch exports to CAD. This comparison accounts for those documented developments.
- • Origins: processing, sections and CAD output, depending on modules.
- • Nebula: browser sharing and measurements using the user's chosen cloud storage.
- • Dedicated plugins, including 4Revit.
ATIS.cloud brings point clouds, panoramas and 3D resources together for review, analysis and sharing. ATIS.cad adds CAD and BIM creation in the browser. Scan-to-Plan prepares editable 2D plans; Scan-to-BIM proposes objects for review before you complete the model. PDF, DWG, DXF and IFC exports serve different deliverables.
- ATIS.cloud: point clouds and 3D resources in the same project.
- Link sharing or identified project members with suitable permissions.
- ATIS.cad: drawing, DWG/DXF import and editing, Scan-to-Plan and Scan-to-BIM.
- PDF/DWG/DXF plans and IFC models; a separate plugin streams clouds into Revit.

Choose the route from survey to deliverable
- 01
Prepare
Retain source data, units and the survey reference system.
- 02
Produce
Origins and your CAD/BIM tools, or ATIS.cad in the browser for plans and IFC.
- 03
Share
Nebula or ATIS.cloud for browser access to the survey.
- 04
Deliver
Hand over the required plans or model and have the recipient open the files.
Where ATIS.cloud + ATIS.cad fits best
Where PointCab fits best
Produce in the browser
ATIS.cad takes you from point cloud analysis to editable objects without installing a CAD application for this workflow. You control the proposed elements, drawing work and completion of the plan or model.
Process surveys with Origins tools
Origins provides processing tools for sections, orthophotos and CAD-ready results. These are relevant when your daily production relies on those outputs and their specialist settings.
Access should reflect responsibility
Bring the survey and useful 3D resources together, then assign access by task. A client can review through a link; identified members receive the collaboration or download permissions you grant them.
Your design team relies on PointCab plugins
PointCab plugins connect Origins with design applications, including Revit. If your team already produces deliverables there, continuity with its established tools is an important selection criterion.
Deliver plans or a building model
Choose PDF for a readable plan, DWG/DXF for 2D geometry and IFC for building objects. IFC preserves information such as object type and level. Agree the output with its recipient: these formats serve different purposes.
Choose your storage with Nebula
Nebula supports browser sharing and measurements using the user's chosen cloud storage. That matters when your data organisation already relies on a compatible storage environment.
Choose ATIS.cloud + ATIS.cad when…
- You want a web-based environment for reviewing, sharing and working with surveys.
- You need to distinguish viewing, downloading and project administration.
- You want to produce plans or an IFC model in the browser.
- You are ready to evaluate ATIS.cad in early access with your own data.
Choose PointCab when…
- • Your deliverables rely on Origins processing, sections and orthophotos.
- • Your design team uses PointCab plugins in its production software.
- • Nebula suits your storage choice and sharing workflow.
- • The established process delivers the required files and specialist tools are your priority.
Test the workflow with an existing survey
Pick a representative floor and a specific output: a plan, an IFC model or a client review. Compare preparation, revisions and delivery with your current method.
Define the deliverable and recipient: a 2D plan, BIM objects or shared review.
Prepare a documented import format, such as E57, with reference coordinates and the useful associated data.
Import the survey into ATIS.cloud. For production in ATIS.cad, request early-access activation, then load a compatible dataset in the editor.
Complete the task, check the output and have the recipient open it. Compare the full workload: production, corrections and handover.
ATIS.cad
From the survey to drawings or a model
ATIS.cad is ATIS.cloud’s CAD/BIM authoring product. Work from the point cloud, review suggestions and prepare the deliverable you need in your browser.
Scan-to-Plan
Prepare an editable 2D floor plan. Review proposed walls and complete the drawing before export.
PDF · DWG · DXF drawings
Scan-to-BIM
Prepare building objects. Accept, adjust or reject suggestions, then check the model.
IFC model after review
Early access until the end of November 2026, on request and activated by the team. Separate from the ATIS.cloud trial; a later commercial release is not guaranteed.
