A BIM 360 alternative for sharing and using 3D surveys
Need to share a 3D survey with clients and work from existing site conditions? ATIS.cloud brings point clouds, panoramas and 3D resources together in the browser. Give each person suitable access to inspect the site, take measurements and discuss the same data.

ATIS.cloud and Autodesk: compare the scope
In March 2026, Autodesk Construction Cloud joined the Autodesk Forma brand, and Autodesk Docs became Forma Data Management. BIM 360 remains in use across projects and documentation. These names cover document, coordination and construction workflows: identify the product in use before comparing the functions your team needs.
- • Project records and document workflows.
- • Model coordination, with tool and file prerequisites.
- • Design collaboration and construction workflows, depending on the offer.
ATIS.cloud starts with site data. Bring together point clouds, panoramas and 3D resources, then share that context with teams and clients. Measurements, annotations and permissions support work on the survey. You can adopt this workflow while retaining Autodesk for project documents and approvals.
- Review imported point clouds and compatible 3D resources.
- Use measurements and annotations with the appropriate permissions.
- Provide public consultation or identified project membership.
- Stream point clouds into Revit through a plugin, separately from Revit co-authoring.
Choose the tool for the next task
Inspect survey data in a browser
- Autodesk ecosystem
- ReCap/RCP review with the associated files specified by Autodesk.
- ATIS.cloud
- Import formats such as E57, then navigate, measure and annotate.
Review a cloud alongside project resources
- Autodesk ecosystem
- Depends on the workflow and files; a cloud embedded in NWD is not equivalent to a separately published cloud.
- ATIS.cloud
- Point clouds, panoramas and compatible 3D resources in the same project.
Give clients review access
- Autodesk ecosystem
- Depends on the product, permissions and sharing method.
- ATIS.cloud
- Review links; identified members for collaboration and download permissions.
Co-author a Revit model in the cloud
- Autodesk ecosystem
- Revit Cloud Worksharing with the required services and subscriptions.
- ATIS.cloud
- The plugin inserts a streamed point cloud; it does not replace Revit Cloud Worksharing.
Control documents and construction workflows
- Autodesk ecosystem
- Document processes, RFIs and field management in the relevant tools.
- ATIS.cloud
- Survey sharing and use; keep the project record in the agreed document system.
Run automated clashes between models
- Autodesk ecosystem
- Model Coordination, subject to supported files and coordination spaces.
- ATIS.cloud
- 3D data review; Autodesk automated coordination remains a separate workflow.

From site data to a project decision
Bring the survey together
Point clouds, panoramas and useful 3D resources.
Work together
Open the area, measure, annotate and share the review in ATIS.cloud.
Record the decision
Put approvals and deliverables in the project's document record.
Why choose ATIS.cloud for survey work?
When Autodesk remains part of the workflow
The discussion starts with the existing site
Architects and clients can locate the area in their browser, examine the cloud and view available panoramas. The discussion uses the same survey and 3D resources, without requiring them to install your processing software.
The document environment is the project record
Keep the Autodesk document environment when it holds contractual records, approvals and their responsibilities. ATIS.cloud can support survey review within that organisation.
Different people need different access
Clients review through a link; project members collaborate with assigned permissions. Set up each access route for its task: review, annotation, source-file download or project administration.
Designers co-author in Revit
Revit Cloud Worksharing supports co-authoring and central-model synchronisation. Teams choose it for that function, separately from point cloud access.
You also want to produce from the point cloud
ATIS.cad includes Scan-to-Plan and Scan-to-BIM for producing plans and building objects in the browser, with PDF, DWG, DXF or IFC exports according to the deliverable. Early access is planned until the end of November 2026 and activated by the ATIS.cloud team. For work that stays in Revit, the separate streaming plugin inserts the reference point cloud.
Coordination follows an established process
Automated clash detection has supported formats, coordination spaces and issue workflows. If your project relies on Model Coordination, retain that process in the comparison.
Choose ATIS.cloud to…
- Give clients browser access to the survey and its context.
- Measure and annotate 3D data with authorised participants.
- Bring point clouds, panoramas and compatible resources together.
- Evaluate plan or IFC production in ATIS.cad through early access.
Keep the Autodesk tools required for…
- • Contractual project documents and approvals.
- • Revit co-authoring and central-model synchronisation.
- • The project's automated coordination processes.
- • Continuity of existing history and construction workflows.
Test ATIS.cloud with an existing survey
Choose a project and a client task: understand a location, review a measurement or discuss existing conditions. Evaluate that workflow without moving the whole document record.
Choose representative data and a task: examine a location, check a reference or hold a client review. Define success before importing anything.
Prepare a survey in a supported format with its units and reference coordinates. For a ReCap project, include the associated files described in the import procedure.
Open the data in ATIS.cloud and check its content, position and required tools. Ask an authorised recipient to test access under their own role.
Collect the recipient's feedback and record decisions in the agreed document system. Keep a clear reference between the data reviewed and the outcome.
ATIS.cad
From the survey to drawings or a model
ATIS.cad is ATIS.cloud’s CAD/BIM authoring product. Work from the point cloud, review suggestions and prepare the deliverable you need in your browser.
Scan-to-Plan
Prepare an editable 2D floor plan. Review proposed walls and complete the drawing before export.
PDF · DWG · DXF drawings
Scan-to-BIM
Prepare building objects. Accept, adjust or reject suggestions, then check the model.
IFC model after review
Early access until the end of November 2026, on request and activated by the team. Separate from the ATIS.cloud trial; a later commercial release is not guaranteed.

Questions before choosing an alternative
When the main task is sharing and using 3D surveys: browser review, measurements, annotations, panoramas and access suited to each participant.
Keep the tools required for contractual documents, construction workflows and Revit co-authoring. The choice can be complementary rather than exclusive.
